In Loving Memory of Dr. Sam Silver

Dr. Samuel (Sam) Silver passed away on August 14, 2024. Sam served on the MSHO Board of Directors since 1991. He was the President from 2008-2010. He was extremely instrumental in our State Society, advocating on behalf of Michigan cancer patients to ensure the best quality of care.

Sam’s national presence with NCCN, ASH, and ASCO has led to partnerships with MSHO on projects of mutual interest and importance. MSHO would not be where we are today without his guiding influence. In addition to his contributions to MSHO, Sam was an accomplished and highly respected physician, and an academician best characterized as a great human being. He leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten!
